About C&G

Caval&go was created by Phoebé, Virginie and Aurélie, who each share a passion for horses and travelling.
These three curious and adventurous young women regularly set off for trail rides in France and further afield. With an interest in developing tourism that benefits the local population, they have formed a bond with local guides, farmers and horse owners on each of their trips, who share with them their culture, their love for their religion and, of course, their love of horses.

With this experience of travelling and meeting locals, they created their travel agency specialising in equestrian tourism, organising trail rides and personalised horse riding holidays, in 2009. With a specialised knowledge of each destination and a close relationship with each travel partner, they create original holidays allowing each person to discover the world on horseback.

Having ridden since they were children, they have each developed different areas of equestrian expertise over the years and will be able to advise you according to your level of ability, your desires and your budget, in order to find the most suitable trip for you.

Phoebé grew up around horses. Since her horse Utarah went into a well-earned retirement, Phoebé has riden L’Oriental, a beautiful Lusitano stallion who previously belonged to her friend Marc Lothka, a pioneer in horse riding holidays worldwide. Phoebé has experience in business and international business travel and is also an ATE-qualified horse riding guide. Having lived in North and South America, she can advise you on trips to Argentina, Ecuador, the US and Canada, as well as some of her favourite destinations – Egypt and Jordan – that she knows like the back of her hand.

 

Aurélie was born in Paris but has always loved the countryside. As an animal and nature fan, she enjoys riding in the great outdoors and hearing the hooves of her horse Pompon – a young and spirited crossbreed cob – echoing through forest valleys. A former fashion designer and an ardent traveller, Aurélie uses her sense of style and her travel expertise to create the personalised holiday of your dreams. She will make you fall in love with Romania, get away from it all in Mongolia and dream in her favourite destination of the moment: Namibia.

 

Virginie lives in Paris and loves to hop on a plane to go on a last minute adventure! She gets out of town as much as she can to get in the saddle far from the bustle of the city, to ride her “champion” near to Fontainebleau forest. A big sports fan and a seasoned marathon runner, Virginie enjoys learning new horse riding skills and loves the speed and adrenaline of polo. For her, nothing beats galloping along the beach, the Moroccan sun and the charm of Italy.
With her keen photography skills, Virginie is responsible for all of the stunning photos of our trips on our website.

The registration number provided by the French State, represented by the organisation Atout France, is obligatory and is subject to extremely rigorous criteria being met. This number is obligatory in order to be able to sell holidays.

Our Financial Guarantee
We have a financial guarantee of up to €100,000 provided by APST (“Professional Association of Tourism Solidarity”), 15, Avenue Carnot, 75017 Paris, France.

This amount can be revised every year in order to take into account the increase in our revenue and is there to reimburse clients the total of sums paid as a deposit or balance in the case of default on our behalf. It is this financial guarantee that protects consumers from any potential bankruptcy of holiday providers and marks the difference between European travel agencies and those in the destination country where legislation is often more lax.
